High GPU Temp on Family PC

Hello,

Ran SpeedFan on the family PC a few hours ago and found the GPU at around 90 degrees. Cleaned the system with air and it's still sitting at around 50 degrees when it's idle (I have checked fan on the GPU is running and is to speed). It's not overclocked or anything and the following system specs:

Vista 32Bit (I believe)
3.20 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
Motherboard : Packard Bell BV RC415 1.0
3GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 512MB
250W Power Supply

I think something's wrong with the temp sensors

just guessing by the fact that one says -128C

temp3 in speedfan always gives incorrect info, depending on the cooler on your 8500 gt that may be the right temp at idle for it.
what does it go to under load ?

Under load it's going about 60-65, which is fine. Prior to restarting it (not sure what's changed) was hitting 95 under load.
