Hi,
Im using Vista 64 with the system in my sig and sometimes when Im playing MP3's and then go to open something like IE7 there is a slight skip/pause in the music. Also when trying to play Fear:XP it crasges out with the error 'Out Of Memory' and for the few minutes it is running the hard disk is clicking away. Im sure it didnt access the Hard disk that much in XP.

Would getting another 2GB of memory fix these problem or is there something else causing it. I dont tend to have problems just surfing and standard things.

Regards

Paul

bejebus.. out of memory errors?

and that sounds like constant swapping..

Do you leave photoshop running with a 12793671x7612334345 image in the background?

Sounds like something leaking memory.. have you opened up task manager to take a look at running processes and memory usage?

Yea it seems to stick around the 1.1 - 1.3GB mark most of the time but FEAR seems to eat around the same on its on (when I do manage to get to task manager to see).

As Im writing this IE is using nigh on 100MB (do have quite a few tabs open though).

Just remembered when looking again that wmplayer process is running at below normal priority all the time. Any reason why this is the default priority?

EDIT: Just tried Half Life 2 to see if that had the same problem but it is fine and only uses 400 - 600MB ish
