High Idle temps with a Q6600 GO

Guys,

At the time of writing this post my Q6600 is idling at 37, 35, 34, and 34 celsius.

I am positive these are too high temps especially with a WC rig using a D-Tek fusion with a 120.3 rad.

Currently putting default voltage of 1.25v through it and the CPU is set at default clock speeds of 2.4GHz.

I even lapped the Q6600 but it made no difference (using MX-2 paste)

Any ideas guys.

What are your full load temps! the room temperature and fan speed.
You would only get (approx) within 10c of your room temp.

If op is a student in Wakefield then room temps will be same as outside temps - approx 13 degrees

idle temps look ok to me. It's the load temps that matter anyway.

Just took off my D-tek and attached a stock cooler and temps were slightly higher, not much mind.

I have cleaned up the CPU and applied some MX-2. Will let it settle in and report back.

My idle temps are around 35C now, as I'm running 1.485v through it.

temps at load are 52,52,51,51

I would put on a screen shot but all photobucket images are blurred
