Have a couple of 125 varadero bikes loved up to look at over the weekend (if they've not sold then!), one of which is a higher mileage model (30k) on an 07 plate, so the new model with fi.

I'll be putting 10k a year on it, and this will be my first bike purchase.

Are there any common faults or stuff I need to check/services that should be done on the 'dero? I know you lot love these bikes so any help appreciated! :D

if its a four stroke then it should be pretty decent still engine wise,id listen for any rattles and check steering bearings, turn handlebars from side to side and feel for any notches,it should be smooth

if it has mot it should be ok,but that wont cover engine/electrics ect

Pitting/rust on the forks, wobble on the rear sprocket, rust on the frame and any white substance or strangeness in the oil/sight window are some of the other main things you can check.
