high overclocking temps??

just Oc'd my 920 D0 to 3.2 (965) using my Asus Rampage Extreme 2 motherboard, using a stock cpu cooler, then ran prime 95 and within seconds i was in the 90+ degrees, have now droped down to the 2.93 (940) setting and im sitting on 78C on full load after 15mins. just trying out atm with the stock cooler to see what is stable, but what is good temps? and what are bad temps?
thanks

What you are trying is a little on the pointless side as heat is a major factor in stability of overclock, hence why people use water or very high end air to achieve the extreme overclocks you see on here.

You'd be far better off upgrading your heatsink first then seeing what the chip is capable of as you will never find out if you have a really high clocking chip using the stock intel heatsink as heat will always be a limiting factor.

You definitely don't want it over 90. Overclocking on the stock cooler just wont work, if you want to experiment before getting the better cooler try undervolting it. If you can work out the minimum voltages needed to run at stock speed it'll give you a good starting point to go from when you overclock, and get you more familiar with the bios
