Does anyone have any experience or views on either of the following AGP graphics cards:
- 512MB Gainward 7800GS GLH Bliss, Mem 1400MHz, GPU 500MHz
- 512MB Sapphire Radeon X1950Pro Mem 1400MHz, GPU 580MHz

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

The Sapphire is a fantasitic card, dude.

I've added one to my P4 3.4C, P4C800-E, 2 gigs OCZ Plats, setup and it's a joy to behold - upgrade from 6800GT.

Plays IL2 1946, CoH, Far Cry, Oblivion at Max, or high settings. I'm actually enjoying games again, rather than getting ****** at having to tone everything down.

My advice would be to pick one up as soon as you can.

The Sapphire X1950 Pro is a great card with the best bang for you buck in my opinion. I owned one for 3 weeks and wish I still had it. Just make sure your power supply is up to the task.

Also please see this other post of mine .....regarding perceived issues with the X1950 Pro ...

GLH Bliss is only 20 pipe version, Radeon is 32 pipe = Radeon wins ;) Allthough with all the failing X1950's keep hearing of on here Im kinda glad dont own one, my bro does however. :p

Get a 7600GT rather than the 7800GS (unless you can find a 7800+GS as these are based on a 7900 core) as the GT is cheaper and very marginally faster.

While the 1900 AGP is probably the fastest AGP card, I've heard loads and loads of problems with it, so I'd say stay away unless your willing to take your chances.
