High Ping

Recently, I've noticed that my ping scales are increased very dramatically. I was wondering where the fault is here. Is there a program that would help me fix this problem, or is it my router dying.. I've had it for over 5 years.


Before my ping was 15-30ms but now it's over 3000ms. I noticed this while I was playing an online game.

Any suggestions on what's wrong with this?

As mentioned before need more info.

It can be a number of things causing it. It could be your computer, software running on your computer. Router, modem, even cabling if your wired can cause a high ping.

If your wireless then there are a huge number of factors that can cause a high ping/latency and packet loss.

Is it only on the 1 game? If so try another server.

what speed is your internet etc and is anyone else using the internet at the same time
