High pings - will switching ISP help?

For the past few weeks I have been getting ping times in the high 100's during the evenings which is too high for VPN and online gaming. I usually get a ping response time in the 20's during the day. What I want to know, will this improve if I go to another ISP?

I have already recieved my MAC code and am currently with Virgin.net.

Which ISP do you reccomend for a maximum of £25 a month to migrate to?

If you don't need an unlimited connection then you could go for Zen. Or see if you can get llu here.

It may or may not. Depents on whether your ISP are having problems our your local exchange.
