High pitch noise coming from the computer?

This noise just started happening when I was playing company of heroes, any idea what is causing it, fan, psu, hdd?

have a wee listen yourself and see which direction it's coming from. my bet is the psu tbh

Actually as soon as I clicked "continue" the noise just went away lol.

my pc has an awfull whine when it first boots up. turns out my hdd is on its way out

Strange thing with an old xp 2500+ system is a whining when at 100% load. Very odd indeed. Psu is poor, could be that.

Probably the GPU - they can whine under high loads, or menu screens for some reason... I know FEAR did that to mine. Whiny until I loaded up a level.

I had a similar problem with the GPU of my old machine. It turned out the bearings in the fan were on their way out
