High pitched noise coming from the mobo?!

Hi all!

Put together an office build with an A4-4000 in a gigabyte ga-f2a55m-ds2.
All works fine. Installed all the new drivers, updated the BIOs.
Now there seems to be a high pitched noise coming from the CPU heatsink. I changes its high pitch frequency depending on what I do e.g. If I open chrome, it changes its pitch for a second. Its like its changing its pitch with things that I'm doing.
Im doubting its the heatsink itself as ive had a play around with it and it doesn't seem to change anything.
Any other ideas? Id prefer not to RMA.

Thanks.

Im not sure if you quite understood what I meant in the last post.
I unscrewed the fan from the heatsink whilst it was still spinning with the whining noise, and took it away from the HS for a brief moment, and the noise went away.
You think its the whole heatsink? Nothing to do with the fan connector itself?
I've been at this for a while so maybe im trying to over complicate it.

Also, whilst you're here Stulid, have you any ideas on for the idle temps for this CPU? Ive read around 40 (which mine seems to be at) but I'd prefer to read it from someone who knows their stuff.
Thanks.

Sounds like the fan, maybe even the sound of air flow itself?

Is it the stock AMD item that came with the chip?

If it is the heatsink causing the noise then that would be quite strange, but if perhaps it is not the heatsink could it be coil whine? I know that I have heard this before on at least 1 machine that didnt have a discrete gpu - i deduced that it was most likely coil whine from components on the mobo.
