I have my TFT (LG 226WTQ) quite a distance away from the tower needing at least a 5mtr DVI cable. The problem is at 1680x1050 with VGA its perfect; however using a 5mtr DVI cable I get green artifacts around the screen. I recently bought an HDMI cable with 2xHDMI-DVI adapters to try and resolve the issue. At first I thought it was a success - no green artifacts; but then the screen started going blank every now and again
This does not happen as soon as i reduce to 1440x900 or if I connect with a 1 meter cable so the DVI input is fine.
I've seen products such as "HDMI Cable REPEATER EXTENDER BOOSTER 1.3◄◄1080p HD►►50m" on the bay for around 20 pounds - do you reckon these will be good enough to resolve my problem?
