I'm trying to buy a larger SD memory card for my camera (Canon A520) but I don't know if these faster cards like 60x and 133x are compatible. Is there any way to find out? Do you know if there are any issues using these cards on this camera?

Hope you can help.

cheers

I don't think it's a matter of compatability, but whether the camera can take pictures fast enough to require the write speed. As a guide I think 40-60x is standard (someone correct me?).

A quick card may let you copy the photos to your computer a bit faster, but I don't think you need to buy an expensive card.

I was in the same situation last week, read on a forum that there wasn't any point in going for a SanDisk Extreme III SD card for a Canon A700 and to go for an Ultra II instead.

It also said that going over 1GB will start to slow things down.

It will be compatible I would be pretty sure, but you wont really benefit from the higher speeds. :)

£12.50 is very cheap, did you buy it the auction site? ..there are a lot of fake SanDisk cards on there.

Paid £21.90inc for mine but went for a 100%+ powerseller.
