hi

looking to get a sd card 2gig , and have looked in all big name stores and seen that the sd cards are like double the price of the internet

i think i will be getting my card on the net.

cheers

That is because on the net all of your stock is in a large warehouse with a couple of people doing nothing all day but taking orders off of a PC and shipping them out.
On the High Street you've got to employ staff, you have to have a building which has to look good.
Finally if you want the passing trade a shop has to get then it needs to be in a prime location and thus attracts high rent.

If you need something in a major hurry the High Street maybe your only option.
If not, over the net will always be cheaper.

margins are about 40 to 50% min on things like SD cards looking at the buy in cost of a 2gb "own brand" card at my place (big red signed office superstore) takes the shine of a 1/2 card at 15quid for 2gb still sell like hot cakes though
