Finally installed a game that I would notice the jump from my last rig (X4, GTX460 that kind of set up) I started Crysis2, everything max @ 1080p (thats the max res it will go to am I missing something) and system temps are around 55-60c. GPU @ 65C and CPU at 60c.

I never realised the 6950 would kick out that much heat. Just seems....high to me? MaybeI'm over worrying as its the first time I've gamed since upgrading.

Yeah, i just felt the heat in the room when it kicked in 5mins gaming. Least on Crysis 2 theres detail in the background compared to my last system :D

Put it this way, there is a warning sticker that comes with a GTX470/480 saying to not touch it for 2mins after switching off.

Your worrying over nothing, try owning a GXT470.
Try owning two of them,:D But seriously, with decent case cooling theyre not to bad. The pair i have, (oc'd to 750mhz core) run a lot cooler than my previous gtx 275's.

Your temp is very good in Crysis 2 for a 6950 as most will hit around 75-80c easily during the game....i remember my 580 hitting 80c in it but 70c max in other games in my old case though but still.

Well just played witcher 2, temp was 65c. But every game I play it doesnt fullscreen. The taskbar is always on show even though I cannot click it :/

I have my res at 1080p, but it doesnt fill my actual screen. My nvidia card did the same but it allowed me to make a custom res but moving position.... any ideas?
