High temps and prime95 hardware errors after delid

With regards to application of conductonaut it really needs as little as possible. rice grain or smaller and manually spread over the entire die.
Nowhere near a rice grain, a pin head! Probably less than a 1mm sphere. And the same amount on the IHS.

Very true about idle temps though, they're fairly irrelevant so long as they're not obviously showing up a bad cooler mount.

true i was in the process of editing to half a rice grain or less (forgetting how small the 6 core dies are) but you beat me to it :P

Sorry, glued to my phone :P

To be fair OP I'd say it's worth watching a few videos on application of Conductonaut as it's such a unique process. And it's easy to spurt it over your motherboard.

First time my delid wasnt good, I used too much liquod metal, it was all over de chip.
2nd time I did it perfectly but didnt clean 100% the old loctyte glue I used to stick it together, maybe thats now the problem? Maybe its making bad contact?

My idle temps are a little high no? Load temps is that on 100% or like gaming? Cuz in Gaming CSGO I have max 70. But thats the same temp as no delidded. Shouldnt I have like 50 degrees? Or maybe the delid is working but my cooler is not able to get the -10-20 degree drop?

Also maybe I should enable speedstep for lower idle temps? I did disable this because of overclock.

I should get aceton to remove the old glue 100% and try it again + new cooler

Test with prime95 26.6, goes in 4 seconds to 90-100°

It isn't making good contact, re-do it. Or make sure your cooler is on properly.

The glue will lift the IHS from the die and heat won't transfer

I've cleaned up with good materials (aceton for glue and isoporpyl 100%). I didnt use glue/sillicon now and put it into socket and now its working perfectly.
30 idle and 50 ingame. Looks good!

Now my cpu custom water build is coming to even have better temps !

lets start the overclocking!
