I recently got my P5Q Pro mobo replaced and since having it my CPU temps have been about 5 degrees higher - now gets up to 70c in orthos at 3.6GHz.
To be fair this heatsink (Big Typhoon) isn't great because of the way its fixed with nuts and no one knows how tight they should be. This time theyre not as tight.. just in case that was the cause of the previous mobo death! I've reseated/pasted hsf, but still the same.
I'm wondering if some batches of the same model mobo could over volt the cpu? (since asus are already known to over volt ram).
Also, I used to get 3.9GHz on the previous P5Q Pro, stable in everything. But now its only stable at 3.6GHz. At higher clocks Lead 4 Dead randomly crashes to desktop. All other settings are the same as other mobo too, including NBv 1.3 and CPU at stock, VID 1.15.
