ive been running prime95 for about an hour now with my cpu at 3.2, the voltage is 1.344 and the temps i was gettin were like 84degrees according to coretemp :S thats abit worrying, i dont fink this is normal??

Try reseating your Heatsink and use CPU-Z to read your Core Voltage. If reseating does not work you might consider lapping your Heatsink and CPU.

your voltage is high my Q6600 is at 3.2GHz with only 1.2675V in bios with my chip having a VID of around 1.24 and this all i need for 3GHz dose your chip have a high vid?

i have jus done a resit using a guide on here using cling film and a rice sized amount of AS5 which seems to have done the trick! my core temp is now 74degrees according to coretemp as im running prime95 which has been goin for about 20mins. however the 1st two cores are at 74 and the other 2 are at 69 :S is this normal lol and what is lapping ive herd people talk about it but duno what it is haha and i also gona try lowering my vaultage now n c how low i can go b4 prime crashes lol

Lapping.....

There's a pretty good guide to lapping contained in the 'Important Stuff: Advanced Guide to Overclocking and Cooling' sticky in this overclocking forum. As a beginner, I just used it to guide my first go at lapping and I recommend it.

The basic theory is that you take your cpu (and possibly heatsink/cpu water cooling block) and sand it down to smooth off the surface. You start with a low 'grit' wet 'n' dry sand paper like 400, and incrementally work up to something like 1500 or potentially higher. Obviously the smoother the surface of the cpu and heatsink then the better the contact will be between them. The better the contact is, then the better the heat can be transfered away from cpu to the heatsink, and consequently the cpu temp. should be lower.

If you decide to give lapping a go, i'd highly recommend going to Halfords for your sand paper as they do grits 400 through to 1500 (intended for car paint spraying). I found it a right pain to get them anyhere else.

my vid is 1.3250 and im currently on 1.35 as im ttyin to get lower on voltage. i jus got test 1.35 now on prime n c how far i get. but anything lower has resulted in a crash/blue screen

you may be better just leaving your cpu at 3GHz then 333x9 as 70+oC is a little toasty i work to 65oC been the limit
but to your question about getting diffrent core temps yes some diffrence is normal
