Greetings...i've just built my new system ...and i've noticed the cpu is running at a higher temperature than i was expecting especially as i'm using a scythe ninja plus with the 120 fan it came with and arctic silver 5 ...using asus probe 2 it's reporting 58 / 59 c whilst running prime, in the bios maybe a few degrees higher ...not sure if it's the motherboard reporting the temps wrong or if it is not fitted correctly.
specs:

Motherboard Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe flashed to 3.11 bios
Amd opteron 170 dual core running at 2.7ghz - vcore at 1.4
over volting on the motherboard disabled
Akasa acrylic uv case with 5 fans

Any advice would be appreciated ...as those temps are a little high for my liking.

Thanks in advance.

Hi...thanks for the reply, thats what i was thinking...especially all the good reviews the ninja gets...was expecting 45 at full load...not the temps i'm seeing.
Will have to take the case apart again to re fit it :( think i may sell it on as it's a little on the big side for this case and go for the zalman 9500 aeroflower ..whilst it's on special offer.

Well, what about my cooler

Arctic cooling 64 freezer

Well, i have a Amd 3000+ venice core, and it is at 2.3ghz on STOCK voltage!!

Guess what the temp is :

36 degrees In prime 95!

Therefore, this is a wicked heatsink, and I have sufficiant cooling now ;)

Wow....thats great temps you are getting, is that the pro version?

Hi.....well having just read a few reviews of the ninja....i would definitely say the temps are much higher than they should be...as i've got the vcore at 1.4 ,tho this motherboard does seem to overvolt ...but even so still shouldn't be as high, as i now will have to take the case apart to refit...going to buy either a arctic freezer 64 pro or zalman aeroflower 9500 as the ninja is a little on the large side .
