Ive got a 2600k running at 4.8ghz with 1.344v reported on CPU-Z under load although it does sometimes climb as far as 1.360v when running IBT this is cooled by a Phanteks PH-TC14PE.

Ive got it in a corsair 500r with 2x 120mm front and 1x 200mm side intake fans and 1x 120mm rear and 120mm top exhaust fans. My case is very tidy inside with all the cabling tucked out the way.

Now ive read various posts about people running the same cpu with very similar coolers and clocks and volts reporting temps in the high 50s very low 60s.

When priming with my set up im getting low 70s and with IBT running im nearing 80c.

From what ive read my cooler is one of the best air coolers and my case is a great performer too. Ive reseated the cooler 3 times with no improvement.

I just wondered how my temperatures can be so much higher than others?

Id appreciate any help or input on the subject.
Thanks
Scott

Ive done that 3 times already. Well 4 actually, last time i did a dry run then took it off to check coverage which looked good so I cleaned it off and did exactly the same again :(

Sounds about right for IBT temps tbh.

With the same clock speed but lower voltage using a Corsair H80 (not much difference in terms of performance compared to the phanteks) I would peak in the mid 70's with a heavy IBT load
