So tomorrow marks the final ever game at The Arsenal Stadium. Yes thats right Arsenal Stadium, not Highbury ;). Thankyou Archibald Leitch you have given me some of my fondest memories. Nothing has come close to the first time I saw the pitch from the East stand upper. I've been lucky enough to see some of the best players in English League and Arsenal history, Wright, Adams, Rocastle, Henry, Vieira, Bergkamp and Seaman.

Tomorrow will also be the last competitive game in an Arsenal Shirt for Bergkamp, arguable the greatest player to ever play for the club and in imo the best foreign player to play in England

It may not be the most modern stadium, but it still takes your breath away, from the marble halls, to the changing rooms to the directors box.

Expect pictures from the game tomorrow as I'll be armed with a camera, but no spoilers to be post in this thread. Goodbye, and I'll look forward to Ashburton. I'll try not to shed a tear :(

I just hope Ashburton comes close :)

programs selling for around £30 on the bay :o

I purchased 4 (2 sold to members on here, and one for a friend, making no profit at all :) ) but I heard stories of people buying 30+. They did print 60k but still sold out.

And the t-shirts are going for silly money. Why would you want a T-shirt saying you were there, when you weren't?!

Nah, it's not turf, thats a plastic weave that the grass will grow into to hold it togehter. They will be seeding the pitch, no turf here :)

See very green

Stolen from elsewhere

yes its true. Its new technology to help the real grass grow. What happens apparently is a layer of plastic roots (what we have seen being laid recently) will be beneath the playing surface. The grass roots will attach to the plastic which will promote good balance growth. This technology will make up for the different growing conditions at our new Stadium compared to what we had at Highbury ( Isn't it strange to be talking of Highbury in past tense??)
