Good Morning Guys,

Thinking of selling my current set-up on the cheap to a friend and buying a new set-up myself.

Still not 100% of a few things (Mobo, Case.. Wait for Skylake?)

Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

Dunno why anyone needs an i7 for gaming.

Rest is pretty nice.]
Hope you have a decent 4k monitor or it seems like monster overkill.

A single 980ti overkill? not really. It's just enough kill for the best experience with resolutions up to 2560x1600 and/or with a 144hz monitor, 2 980tis would be just enough kill for 4k gaming, i don't believe anything is overkill for 4k gaming currently. As for a i7 well i think games are slowly becoming more threaded so why not.

What?
Only one 980Ti?
It can't be called 'Higher' then.
Atleast 2 in sli to get that prefix.

Also, 5930 and M2 disk, please :)
Then it may be 'Higher' :)

very good spec but if your thinking of going sli in the future then you might be best going for a reference card.

Also that case is pretty poor for aircooling gpu's so i would suggest something that has not got the front and side of the gpu completely covered :)

you would be hard pushed to notice the difference from any cpu clocked @ 4.5 from the i7 range even the 920 DO when gaming. its just more future proof when games are finally coded to use more cores properly.

skylake is probably better 2-3% clock for clock when gaming. The 5820k will be far better for mult-core uses so id sure go with that and get it clocked to 4.5ghz :D.

Other than that if you want 4k go for 2x 980Ti's, 1080p-1440p 60hz go for a single one. Id personally go for a 1080p 120hz-144hz monitor with a single card or go for 1440p 144hz with 2x cards.

Thanks for the Advice,

I'm leaning towards 6700K..

Anyone suggest a good Case? I will be getting a CPU Watercooler so it would need rad mounting.

Any preferences with M2 SSDs? Whats the benefit? Higher writing/read speeds?
