I am heading to London next week and looking to book one of the higher end restaurants to have lunch, seeing as a lot of them have good lunch offers, and was wondering if anyone had tried any of these recently to offer their opinion

Marcus Wareing at the Bekely - can book an industry discounted lunch so is £35 for three courses and get a kitchen tour etc

Hibiscus - consistant reviews and example menu looks brilliant

Dinnner at Manderin Oriental - would love to give it a go, but think i might struggle to get the other half to try some of the menu items ;) i.e pigs ears etc....

Hélène Darroze at the Connaught - £42 for 3 courses with two glasses of wine

any help would be great :-)

I did a mini review of The Connaught here.

Would highly recommend it. If you want something special then it totally fits the bill. Very opulent/Mayfair.

Other than that I've always wanted to go to the Berkeley :)

Thank you, great mini-review...we have booked! looking forward to it, wish i could afford to do things like this more often....

Same, but then it wouldn't be so much of a treat :)

Hope you like it, report back! Oh, Id say go for a drink first but the Coburg bar won't be open until 4pm I think :(

Indeed, although I work in another relais chateaux myself its always nice to experience the other side....
