Higher resolution

I have a Samsung LA32R81BDX it is currently running at 1360 x 768. Im using a 9800gt via vga and was wondering whether at that res it is worth an upgrade to a GTX 260. Also would a DVI to HDMI converter allow me to run at a higher res? Im a complete numpty when it comes to tv's

Probably not to which question will a dvi to hdmi converter make or a difference or will a gtx 260 make a difference??

Its 32" so im guessing the upgrade would be pointless then, thanks for the help.
