Higher temps???

Just re-built my PC after a bit of cable tidying

so yea, applied the thermal paste again and fitted and re-fitted the water block and now my CPU and core temps at idle are in the high 30's and 40's is this right? I mean there to high aren't they? ecspecially for the rad i have in the loop!

cannot for the life of me remember what they where before but I'm adamant they were in the low mid 30's

What cpu have you got?
Check fan speeds and have you installed the block correctly and what are your load temps like.
Even though you have a large radiator this does not mean you can get your temps lower!!

Thermal paste is generally not at it's optimum until several heat cycles.

Q6600 at 3.6Ghz, load temps just peak over 50 at 100% which is what they were before but at idle the temps seem to of risen, i guess maybe jimmy29 is right
