highest conroe clock?

hi guys whats the highest conroe clock on air you guys are getting ? and a usable clock , for everyday , not just a clock that will post!
and what is the best mobo for it , and ....what is the best cpu to get for overclocking , if the e6400 is clocked higher than a e6300 does that mean it will clock higher , or does this mean the 6400 is just the same as a 6300 but clocked higher to start with , if yu see what i am getting at?

For the e e6300&6400 the giagbyte ds3 motherboard is the best for overclocking, for the e6600&above take a look at the badaxe, asusP5WDH, gigabyte DS4&DQ6.

As for your question regarding overclocking, all the conroes clock well, but not the same so people will be getting different overclocks with the same/diff cpu's. I believe most people are getting to around 3ghz on air.

DS3, DS4, DQ6 & P5B are 965p chipset so are better for clocking the E6300 & E6400 (allendale) were the E6400 upwards (conroe) clock better on the 975x like the bad axe p5w dh

agreed, imo at the minute it's all speculation and rumours flying around about what clocks better on what board! yes innitially the lower end c2d's wer clocking better on 965 chipsets, but we have to remember there are still new bios's coming out and it will only enhance the overclockability for the chips so wait until everything has settled down before making assumptions!

Yeah the latest Gigabyte P965 BIOSes are doing wonders for the E6600's.
