Hikvision DVR question.?

I have a 7608 up in my loft and it's making a noise so got a new fan and hopefully will change it tomorrow.
When I turn it off will it keep all the settings. fan is cheaper than changing HDD first.

Please God tell me it will as I aged 10 yrs setting it up. network and stuff isn't my favorite pass time. :eek:

Yeah it should retain the settings. You only really need to worry about those if you change out the HDD.

Well that was a waste of time - Watched Youtube video with same DVR as mine 7608 and mine is different - The vid put in a deeper fan, a Noctua 2x40 one so got the same and there isn't the depth for it - So quick brush and blow off and put it all back together - took me longer to put cables back on as all the numbered labels fell off the 6 leads - they stick like poo to a blanket but not to its self. :mad:

Out of interest do you have your nvr horizontal or vertical as I have the same nvr and I read that the fans have problems when vertical
