Anyone dealt with this devil of a plant? and done so successfully? What did you find worked the best? Pulling or strimming? Or did you poison it?

Its started coming up and the time for battle draws near. This year, it is victory or death!

glyphosate = Roundup.

I used Roundup Ultra 3000, expensive, it's slow at it's job, but very effective, takes around two weeks or so, before you see the results.
You might find ordinary Roundup will work just as well, which ever you use, you will need several applications though, throughout this year & next year.

Rosate 36 is another excellent glyphosate weed killer, found it very good against Japanese Knotweed, can be found cheaper than Roundup.
Treat Himalayan balsam at early flowering stage to ensure the weed is knocked back before it has chance to self-seed.
It's important to attack at flowering, it's your only chance of success in reducing the weed.

Here is a good link about it.
