Hinterland - Diablo-esque RPG with building stuff

Anyone know much about this? Been hearing good things on t'internet about it. Apparently it's sort of Diablo with Sim City elements, but the gameplay is a bit unpredictable apparently.

I think it sounds quite an interesting premise...and for roughly a tenner it can't be all that bad!

I took the risk and bought it a ccouple of days ago.

It's rubbish. Dull combat, dull city building, dull interface, dull graphics. In other words: it's dull.

Save your money for a proper game.

ok caff put me off impulse buying Hinterland but now Project Aftermath has caught my eye. This has a demo though so installing that now.

I saw this selling well on steam, I have no Idea why.

Project Aftermath has some good idea's, played the demo. Doubt I'll actually buy it but the production values are good. RTS squad based game, looks like it has 'rpg elements' that games like to tout these days. You can choose from many different upgrades, items/skills for your heroes who each lead a squad of troops.

I'll be getting X3 terran conflcit in a couple of days though but I may come back to it during the next PC gaming dry patch.

In fact I'm so livid this sells at $19.99 I'm going to ask for my money back.
