Hiper 525W PSU readings

hi, my friends hiper 525W PSU is reading 11.84v at load (with Orthos and SuperPi-Mod running) and 11.97v with no load (i.e. sitting at desktop)

X2 939 3800
2x512MB PC4000
DFI NF4 DR Expert
WD Raptor 74GB
2x DVD-RW
X800GTO

now is that a reasonable figure? bearing in mind his system is current all stock speeds.

also it locks up when running those programs i've mentioned above ^^
usually it freezes and i have to reset it by the front of the case.

Yeah I'm pretty sure thos vdrops are OK.

He might wanna run memtest to see if his memory is OK... or it might just be runing at a too high priority :confused:

nah the memory was fine i've already tested it

maybe the motherboard has a fault? check the capacitors arean't leaking.

the 12v rail should be ok dropping down to 11.64v according to the 3% tollerance that is minumum on modern PSUs.

what are the temperatures like?

temperatures at load for the cpu are around 48-49c max and the other temps speedfan report are below that (one's around 40c probably the chipset)
