Hiper 580w Modular PSU - Fan Swapping...

I have a 580w Hiper Modular PSU, and am gonna change the fans over on it...

I know about the mortal risk of opening a psu yada yada...

My Q is... you guys reckon a 120mm Yate Loon and a 80mm Akasa Amber will cool it all ok ?

To be honest there is no reason to change the 120mm fan, its the 80mm one the makes the noise.

I presume you dont own a black Hiper 580w. I have one of these and the fan is pretty quiet.

got the yate loon (120mm) sorted, soldered and heatshrinked in fine...

the Amber (80mm) doesnt fit internally, as the stock fan is quite shallow (must be 10 or 15mm deep), so i am fitting that externally in the morning

i have painted the frame, so it isnt clear, and it now looks a bit better matching

pics on the way :cool:

BTW - my PSU is the black one, and fairly quiet, but not when every other fan in the case is a 7v Yate Loon 120mm

the psu is heard able i admit, i have one and a seasonic s12, and i think my s12 is silence compaird to the hiper.
