Hiper 580W Type R PSU went Kaboom

I have a Hiper 580W Type R power supply that went with a loud pop and a smell of smoke recently. Fortunately now other components were harmed but I'm wondering if I am able to RMA the PSU?

The situation is that this Hiper PSU is actually a replacement of the original PSU that also met an untimely demise. The original was purchased in Jan of 06 but I don't recall when I RMA'd it for the one that died recently.

TBH i would just stear clear, and get a half decent psu

I'm currently using an Antec NeoH 550W which i bought as a backup when the Hiper went the first time.

As for the hope of another RMA, it would just be so I can sell it

Yep I've for now got a type r but also been told hiper have gone into administration

That would explain the website being down then. I guess I'll just be throwing it away then.
