So, my Hiper580w just blew last night :(, didn't take anything with it though :D. But in all honesty it isn't too bad, it lasted over a year. So as my money situation isn't too good. I thought i might as well RMA it as it is in warranty still. I know exactly what the problem is so i will mention it to them.

But the main question is what is their customer service like?
How long will it take to be repaired?
Will i have to pay for it to be repaired/replaced?

cheers

I've dealt with Hiper's customer services twice now and on both occasions I've been totally satisfied with them, very quick and friendly, no hassle whatsoever.

I don't think you'll have to pay anything (maybe postage) as it's a three year warranty.

In my case customer service was non existant. Mine took out a brand new DFI motherboard with it. They tried blaming me for their crappy psu blowing. Including the Hiper and the board it took with it it cost me over £300 to get up and running again. After getting messed around by them for so long, in the end i told them to stuff it. I would never go near any of their products again.

I had a Hiper 580 go down a week ago. I've replaced it now with an Enermax 565, and was just going to throw the Hiper away, now I've read this I'll try to find the receipt. Might just be able to get a replacement.

I sent one back recently for a collegue 530W - I work at a reseller, it was about 2 years old. It took about 2 weeks for replacement, they phoned to ask if it was OK to send a black replacement (original was blue), if he wanted a blue one it would have been April.

The only problem was that the callers english was really bad and it took several minutes to establish that he was calling from Hiper not Hi Power.

sorry for the thread necromancy... just it is easier than making a new thread.

when you RMA a power supply do you need to enclose all the cables and things... ive never RMA'd before.
