Ok was about to RMA My hiper 580
but decided i give it one more chance,
i built an amd system up just to compare to my p4

parts were M/B asus an8 asm CPU 3.2 athlon rest of components came from my p4 system 2GB OCZ 4 hard discs.

now the hiper with near enough same components as my P4 is
now a lot quieter and doesnt stick on full load like it was doing with P4 system
so came to the conclusion once the hiper detects a CPU hits close to 50c the hiper will Fire fans up full, the amd system doesnt even goto 41 full load
so fans will never come on.

so hipers are ok for AMD single core mabaye low dual cores (manchester)
not compatable with high amd dual cores or any P4 single or Dual
that draws 95watts or more.

my p4 idled @ 43 soon got to 48c when heating in room comes on
leaving 2c before fans started full pelt only had to run adobe photoshop for a min or two and the hiper would stick on full load.

its an akasa case with 2x 120mm panflo the ambient temp never changes
same cpu cooler zalman 7000b also left side of case of ,room is very cold, yet the p4 will put fans on full load even if room is freezing.

yeah the air in the case will get sucked through the psu which will make it warmer in the case of the p4

yes but that would most Psus redundant on the market for P4 as they mostly all come with 120mm fan intakes on the bottem.
why dont manufacturers make a Psu for hot pentiums like the zippy and pc and cooling correct way to make a PSU, and forget the intakes.
