Hiper Type R - Weird Problem

Just got one of these for a friend and an Antec case only to find that the modular cables arnt long enough.

Anyone got any ideas where I can get some longer ones or some extensions from??

You cannot get longer ones unfortunately. This is a well known problem with this PSU.

Akasa Paxpower have good long cables if you decide to return it. I would also expect Antec PSUs to have adequate cable length for their own cases.

You can buy the 24 pin extension cables (to mobo), the 4 pin, 8 pin and the graphics extension leads.... Molex extensions and SATA power extensions are available everywhere.

Seek and ye shall find.

Yeah, the cables are pretty short on the Hiper. They barely reach all the components in my Wavemaster. It's a really good PSU though. And it doesn't make a sound

Why not use the Modular cables to extend the cables which are short lol thats what i do with my Hiper in my Thermaltake Armour Case and thats one big case lol.

Silverstone 12v ATX extension lead. Worked for me.

Thats what I do with my Ultra x connect psu, although its usually plenty long enough for my stacker, but theres one cable that just doesnt reach.

Try it before you return.
