brought my psu a while back sounds really sad but it was the red one and now i have got the antec 900 gaming case just looks a bit odd.

had a look about on how to change the leds no cant find anywhere what type they are and where to get em from.

just because i want it all blue

hope someone can help many thanks
 
Open a PSU and you've invalidated the warranty. I wouldn't do that, especially with a Hiper as you're more likely than not to have to RMA the thing sooner or later anyway.
 
They're actually more likely to go *fizz* and not really affect any other components. Hipers are worth using if you've already got one, I just wouldn't spend money on another. :)
 
i reckon i have been running this one for over a year now easily with no major hassles that im aware of what sort of things are likely to go pete tong with it then?

tbh untill now i aint heard any bad things against these psu's

There have been about 5 reports here of Hipers failing totally within the past week or so. Appearently them either cutting out or simply not starting is a very common problem.

My next unit will be a Corsair. :)
 
omg ill have to keep my fingers crossed then and hope for the best by the sounds of that.

one of my hiper's have been running over a year, its too noisey, too hot, and its what makes my sytem crash when i overclock an 805.. just can't handle the power usage increase from the 805... not happy. Thats a blue one, wouldn't dream of selling it on.. although i do got a black one which is fairly new that should be being sold soon..
