Hiper typeR PSU -5v according to speedfan

Speedfan is displaying -5v @ 8.78v!! :eek:

Little worried obviously, not sure whether to trust the readout or not but at the same time cant help but worry.

Bit quick off the mark there. Its not displaying -12v correctly either so I can only assume the configuration in speedfan is wrong for my mobo.

Guess theres nowt to worry about. I HOPE!! :eek:

I do not personally rate Hiper PSU's much at all.

But is it the right PSU setup, and do you have a manufacturer own monitoring tool you could use instead?

I am slowly starting to think the same way about them too tbh.

Its not that quiet either and suffers from the famous "crickets in your psu" syndrome.

Just updated the config via speedfans site. The upload I obtained does away with -v's but all other voltages are fine.

I now have north and mosfet readouts. cool!!

Software utilities aren't great and the Hiper 580W doesn't even have a -5V rail!

Speedfan reckons my 12V is at 11.3V or something - ASUS Probe and MBM5 say 11.9V which is correct according to a multimeter

I wouldn't read anything into it
