Anyone used HiQ for car stuff? There prices for exhausts seem the cheapest, but not sure what the quality of parts or fitting is like.

Cheers

Use them in shrewsbury and mechanics are excellent. I get amazing rates for labour because they have the contract with my employer :) 80 notes for 8 hours. Woooo.

I use them for tyres, mot's and have in the past for things like wheel bearings /exhaust work etc.

They've been fine, pretty well priced but for anything other than a standard consumable I would tend to use a specialist as they're really just a tyre /exhaust type place. Never had then try to push any made up issues onto me

Seems promising might give them a go, although kwik fit offer a 3 year warranty on their exhausts as opposed to a year with HiQ but not sure if theres any point in warranties for an exhaust, I would imagine they would have a lot of get out clauses.

Never had problems with the one in Shrewsbury. Knowledgeable/helpful staff, no BS. Had an offer of four tyres for the price of two through the post recently too, I should really take them up on that.

Jealous :p

A very considerate lover by all accounts.

But did you get cheap tyres? :p

Isn't it just the case that some places will be better than others down to the individual employees, or do HiQ work to a better standard overall than say Kwikfit?

I've used them for tyres a few times. Brand selection can be limited. Aside from one time the missus'fiesta got stuck on their ramps for a few hours generally been fine and reasonable cost.

I use the one in Chelmsford for MOTs and tyres and find them very good.

The same people have been working there for years and they're not pushy like Kwit-Fit and National.
