Hiring a laptop?

Hi all,

I only really need to use a laptop when on holiday (a few times a year) so buying one is not financially viable. Is it possible to hire out a laptop for a week or so? I mainly use it for web browsing, emails, watching films and photo & video editing. I'm also looking for something light and portable.

I would buy a cheap netbook but I need a decent size HD widescreen for viewing films, photos and videos (15"+). Perhaps something like a Dell XPS 15z?

Google turns up plenty of companies offering PC hire, though not sure how many would rent to a private individual. Most expect you to ring for a quote but I've seen figures of £50 to £70 per week, which is probably for a basic spec. No doubt you'd pay a good few quid more if you want a higher spec.

If its £50 a week, why not save up for a bit and buy a laptop for £300-400 quid, thats 6 weeks use of a laptop, or your own for ever?

Probably even cheaper on the bay actually so drop that to £200-300 or thereabouts!
