Hiring an Ipad for holiday

Its that time of year again! How can I hire an Ipad for holiday? It's pointless me buying one as I'll only use it for 2 weeks a year. I'll be using it for viewing/showing off photos, reading PDFs, FB, Skype.

Not heard of renting one. Just buy a refurbed one and sell it when you get back. You loose very little.

Yeah, buy one online, initiate DSR on day before you go, post within 28 days. Lose out on only postage.

Bit harsh on the business, so get it from a bad competitor

Maybe this is a good business opportunity. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wanst to hire ipads, kindles etc on holiday!

I'm sure you will end up finding you have more use for it than just on a holiday.

At the end of the day, if its just the tablet functionality or an e-reader you are after, there are plenty of cheaper options.

honestly did you do a google.... the very first link for 'hire iPad' is a company that specialises in this and there are several more with 'rent iPad'.....

I won't link as they may be borderline acceptable with the rules

Sorry for the hijack but I am looking to hire a MacBook for personal (not business use), does anyone know of places which offer them at a reasonable price?

What's the point in renting one, just buy one if you have the need for one :confused:

Or just use your smart phone for these tasks if you have one?

What does a MacBook do that you need to hire one for personal use for?
If money is an issue, you could pickup a PC laptop for not much money. Hell, buy one second hand and you would be looking at not much more than you would pay to rent something anyway.

This happens quite frequently where I work (not specifically ipads), personally I consider it pretty scummy. (Its also a good idea to properly delete highly personal holiday photos before returning it).

Flat got burgled a few weeks back so my MBA air was taken, currently borrowing a Windows laptop but really struggling with it, so looking for a stop gap until Retina range gets updated.

I just get on a lot better with Mac OS and with windows it feels as though I take twice as long to do everything which is frustrating

For that kind of time though, the cost of renting one would surely be quite a good deal of money.
