Ok the fan on my HIS 1950 pro went so i bought a new fan for it, the accellero 2. But just trying to fit it now there seems to be a heat sink in the way of the cooler. The old fan sits under the edge of this sink, the accelero is huge and goes over it.

For anyone thats replaced the fan on their HIS, did you remove the heat sink at the top edge of the card as well as the fan? or did i just buy the wrong cooler for it. If so, can you reccomend one that will fit and does anyone want an Accellero2 going cheap :)

hmm yeah, just put it all back together so didnt think of photos.

But you can get the general idea of the problem with the pics on the OC store.

Heres the GFX card, you can see the cooler is oblong, now along the top of the card runs a heat sink that you can just see popping out into view :)

And heres the accellero, because of its trianguilar shape its wider than the gfx card, consequently it sits on the heat sink and cant sit flush to the card. I know there was a spate of problem with the fan on this card, so just wondering what people who had the same problem did.

because the bearing has gone on it or something and its making a bloody noise!

and yes i know he meant pics of mine. but its the same card and cooler so hardly makes a difference does it. the oc people do prettier photos!
