HIS 2900 xt boot problem

Hi all,


Just got my 2900 xt delivered today.

I have instaled it, connected 6 pin power into it, dont have 8 pin one,
and no adapter was supplied with card.

Card starts up, fan gets going fast and loud, but no video, any experiences
of this kind anyone?

My spec is

Intel bad axe 2
E6600
2 gig ram
550 antec neo he true power PSU (SLI certified)

Please help!!!!!!!!

do you have two 6 pins plugged in?

By the sounds of it no.

You need to have 2 plugged in. The 6 pin will fit into the 8pin slot, and don't worry about putting it in the wrong way, it'll only fit in one way. Do that and it should work

Update the BIOS Somewhat typical problem with the 2900 on some Intel-based motherboards.

As above, needs 2x 6x Pins plugged in.

cheers guys, i had only one 6 pin plug connected, i tought you needed another one only for ati overdrive, one would have tought that 9 years of building PC's would make me viser
