Got my 2 HIS 6850's to replace my 2 5770 's today. Thought I would share my initial thoughts with anyone thinking about upgrading.
Fired up Heaven first for a quick benchmark ran it at the same settings i'd used for the 5770's wasn't that impressed few hundred extra point on the score 1339 first run. So i thought i'd try a few games to see how they performed.
Metro 2033 runs with DX11 dof and tessellation and very high settings surprisingly well its more than playable very impressed.
Global Agenda runs with everything maxed out and never drops below 40 fps (10 v 10 matches) the 5770's went into the 20's.
Fallout NV Everything on full is really smooth it was unplayable in certain area's with 2 5770's.
Impressions so far are very positive much better frame rates than than the 5770's and I can now set everything to max in all the games I've tried so far
had to turn down some settings to get playable frame rates on the 5770's
