I recently purchased a system that came with the HIS 7850 2GB, but I have run into a bit of trouble with it and just wanted to run it by here.
Basically, when using the card in 3D games or applications I am getting some odd artifact's on screen / random black flashes and this is causing some distortion during gameplay. The CPU on the offending system was overclocked, and so it was recommended by OcUK to remove the said overclock as a starting point which I have done so.
Now while I can't replicate 100% I have been able to reproduce screen flicker inside SimCity. Due to the technical reputation of the game, I didn't want to hold this at face value.
I had seen artifacts in Battlefield 3 and 3D Mark 2011. I really want to try something before any attempt at RMA.
Running the 15 min Furmark burn-in the temps where about 72 °c at full load.
System Specs.
# Intel Core i7 3770k (STOCK)
# 8 GB DDR3 RAM
# Windows 8 Home
# HIS 7850 2GB (running v.13.3 drivers)
