hi I recently bought a HIS 7950 IceQ BOOST and would like to know what are the safest overclocking setting are for it. I've installed afterburner 2.2.2 and have tick the boxes to unlock voltage, unlock voltage monitor and can access those sliders as my card has the voltage unlocked. but are unsure of what setting are safe or what Power Limit does. as in the past with my 560ti I just move the core voltage and core and memory clock were linked so more one and other would move.

current setting in afterburner are

Core Voltage (mV) = 1031
Power limit (%) = +0
Core clock (MHz) = 925
Memory Clock (MHz) = 1250
Fan Speed (%) = auto

basically I'm using the stock setting. I understand from other thread that the card can do 1100/1200 on core and 1500 on memory but would I like to know would I need to increase the core voltage to and what to in afterburner for example 1231 = 1.231v. thank you in advance for anyone that can help me out.

This applies specifically to your card (and mine!), might be worth reading the whole thread actually, but to summarise our cards voltage spike and don't run well in crossfire mode, the latter may not apply to you but the former will.

I currently have 2 profiles, by default my card was running 1.125 boosting to 1.25.
Now I have the same clocks but running 1.013v and a second profile running 1100/1350 using 1.131v.

The HIS 7950 Boost cards use worse RAM than reference 7950's so usually anything above 1450 becomes unstable, however as with everything some go higher than this, some lower, I have one of each.

HTH,
Chris.
