Was just wondering what has happened to all the HIS gfx cards , as far as i can see there are only the 4850 iceq 4 cards for sale now on oc site , not many on other well know sites either.
Have they felt the pinch of the credit crunch or just having a break till the revised cards come along.

Could be something to do with them always being one of the most expensive versions of each card? The IceQ go for a premium but yet they only offer a 1 year warranty... not a good combo in todays cut throat market, so many good offers about?

I mean do you go for the IceQ 4850 for £150 with 1 year warranty or the XFX 4850 for £110 with 2 years? Both have dual slot coolers...

The his version of the 4870 and 4870x2 was 1 of the cheapest if i remember rightly and some of the other sites have the his 4850 for similar prices to the other 4850's on oc.
The price difference between the 2 4850 cards is probably more to do with the fact that xfx have only just started making there way in the world of ati so have come in cheap( much cheaper) to get a foot on the market and the iceq 4 version of the 4850 have far better coolers on them as they are dual slot and the xfx are only single slot.
Just seems strange that they have all of a sudden just vanished

was reading it as i wrote my post is why i put "opps looks like they may have it wrong on there then fair enough "
Anyway lets get bk on topic shall we

had an ICEQ3 3870, had for about 6months if that. had probs, RMA'd to OCUK, they sent back to HIS and i'm now running a 4850 in replacement which is running fine. to be honest all cards are the same but just made by a diff maker at stock, in the fancier cards only differenc is the overclock applied and the companies cooler
