So I managed to pick the His IceQ 7950 boost ( grade b) and should be getting it tomorrow. So I just wondered how far I could push it safely? And the best program to use for overclocking it?
My rig is I5 3570k
Xfx 850w psu (seasonic)
Gigabyte z77x-d3h
16gb g.skill ram

Cheers.

Just another quick one I have currently 2 gtx 460 2gb in sli will this new card be a good upgrade?

1100 to 1500/1500MHz should be 'safe', although you may need extra voltage on the vram as it's a cheaper vram used than normal 7950's.

His iTool or Afterburner.

It will be very good where SLi isn't, should have better mins/average all round too especially in the newer demanding titles.

I suggest using the iturbo tool I know it doesn't have all the same bells and whistle that Afterburner has but it can control the voltage a lot better than Afterburner can at the moment, so you can get a stable oc on your card. as tommy mention you will need to create a custom fan profile when running an oc on the card.
