HI Guys from my previews post on GTX670 vs 7950 ( some of you might remember it, im the guy from Cyprus with poor English :) )

I have followed your precious advises and i choose a HIS ICQ HD7950 Boost i was so excited about the card it looks rock solid and beautiful . However as soon as i set up everything install the new drivers 13.4 the card keep crashing when i start a game

. As soon as the card load become at 96% the card crash and my screen became black like there is no signal going trough but the fan of the pc and the light etc are still ON. must have the time this is what happen but sometimes the PC just Restart few sec sometime a min after the game load ( when the card get about 96% load).

So i tough it might be something with the old drivers since im coming from a 6850 i didnt even blink and i format my PC and install a fresh version of windows but still the same problem

i even switch PCi E 6 pin power cable but still the same issue

game that i have tried so far are Battlefield 3, 3d mark vintage and i the same thing happen also tried the render test on GPU Z and its sitll crashing even with that so definatly something is wrong here

BTW i even underclock the card to 800 MHZ and increase the voltage of the card( at stock 925mhz) but still nothing. also i have reset my CPU and ram OC to the default settings and also updated my Motherboard to the latest bios found from Asus webpage still the same issue :(

Please i dont know what to do i hope that there is something wrong with my system so i dont have to RMA the card im leaving in cyprus it will cost me min 50 english pound for shipping the card back and shipping it again back to me :( cant afford it now :(

My system specs are :

CPU: intel i7 2600k was at 4.4GHZ but now set to default 3.4GHZ
RAM: Corsair vengeance 2x4GB 1600MHZ Cas 8 now runing at 1333MHZ
Motherbaord: Asus P8P67 Pro B3 revision with the latest Bios
PSU: Corsair GS800
COOLER: Corsair H70
SSD: OCZ 60 GB agility 3 for OS
HDD1: VelocyRaptor 150 GB for games
HDD2: WD Cavier Green 1TB
LCD1: LG W2363v 23"
LCD2: Asus 19" forgot the model :)

PLEASE HELP :(

i'm receiving mine in a few hours i will get back to you about mines. I would phone overclockers in the mean time just in case you have a faulty gpu!. You could possibly do a fresh install of windows and see if that works?.

I had a similar issue but it ended up not being seated correctly in the pice slot.

Its pretty heavy.

Ive had no issues since but its the same symtoms anyway :)

It was happening only when playing more demanding games.

I was going to RMA, but checked the seating etc put it back in a bit better and its been fine since :)

Maybe it was luck, but worth a shot
