Hi everyone finally got my card up and runing as it should thank to you guy and btw great card and im happy with its performance will recommend it to everyone :-).
Yesterday night i was playing a bit with OC and up to 1100/1300 with stock voltage the card is runing fine without crashing ( i even played more than an hour on BF3 on ultra). However at 1150 it cant run 3d game for more than 5 min i know i know i should increase the voltage but that speed is already great for and here its very hot so puting more v will jist do more harming than good to my card :-)

This morning i was trying to lower the voltage but while keeping a 1100 clock speed just to reduice some heat (77 c) and i end up having a stability at 1.2000v lower than that the card will crash on some games (tomb raider for example) but however pass some stress test for at least 20min anyway the point is my card is fully stable at 1.2v.
My question is what are your voltage at 1100 speed ? Is 1100 with 1.2v is it a good OC ?
What should you advice me for a better oc while keeping lower v. I just got my card 2 days ago so im a noob :-)

Also what is the best software for stressing a GPU . and please feel free to share your OC setting here please (clock speed/ v plus vram speed/ v)

Cheeers

I never altered the voltage on my His IceQ and over-clocked it on what I thought was stock* and for the last year have run my gpu on the settings in my sig for almost a year, it's only since I bought a 2nd IceQ recently and been benching that I realized the voltage bumps itself to the 1.25 max due to the "boost" function if you try to change the voltage (as you said you've lowered it to 1.2) all it does is change the non-boost voltage, as soon as the card is in use and boosts itself to higher clocks it will still keep the 1.25v, have you used any software to keep track of the voltage in real time/gaming (such as after burner?) because I'm going to hazard a guess that your 1.2v is enabled when running on the non-boost and when in games your cards is boosting itself to the higher clocks and still using 1.25 v

Im using MSI after burner only to monitor the clock speed and voltage and using Iturbo to lower to voltage and OC the card and yes the max voltage when im gaming is 1.2v. also you can desable the 2d mode with iturbo so that your card will always be at your OC speed plus the Max voltage in my case my card is locked at 1100 + 1.2 V alwas even in desktop mode :)

what sort of temps are you getting Doco?

I have just picked up the His IceQ boost 7950 x2, temps have been high 60's under load during this hotspell but i think that due to the position on my tower.

I just wondered what sort of temps the cards run at with a decent overclock :)

On my Twin Frozr 7950 I use a normal oc of 1100/1400 at stock (1.15) volts, also using the +20 power setting in AB.

It'll do 1150/1500 for benching but gets very hot.

I use Heaven Valley to stress test :)

I throw 3dmark and heaven 4.0 at my gpus then I go and game just to be sure (well thats my excuse and im sticking to it lol)

i got that high temp because im leaving in cyprus and here its very hot atm ( about 38 c in my room)

BTW when im trying to lower the voltage with MSI AB its does not work as it keep the max voltage to 1.25 however it does work with Iturbo from HIS.

I have the same cards and for 1100/1575 i need 1.169v.

Just played Bioshock inifinite for about an hour or so, temps got to 72 degrees
