I currently have this card installed ,but am thinking of upgrading to the Sapphire or maybe the HIS x1950 pro 512MB .

How much of a performance boost will I see, is it worth the upgrade?

Yes, and quite a bit I'd imagine. About 80% increase in fps, depending on the game.

Agreed, the X1950 Pro is one of the best bang for buck cards too.
