My friend has messed his new X1900 crossfire, by flashing it with another bios, downloaded of the net, I dont think he knew what he was doing, I had a look at his PC, and all that can be heard when I switch it on is a beeping tone, and there's no output what so ever, has he messed up this card? or is there any chance of repairing it, by re-flashing the bios?

Well, if he can get hold of a PCI graphics card he can reflash the card with the original BIOS and all should be well. I'm not 100% on this so I will let someone else with a little more knowledge to answer your question fully. :)

flashing any card with a different bois is asking for trouble, wether you know what your doing or not. Like the chap said above, put a diff graphics card in, and see if you can reflash the card back on its original bois.

if anyone has managed to flash via PCI graphics, any advice really appreciated, as I've never done it before(only did the GTO2 mod thru dos) , anyway whats the worst that can happen???

Well it's definitely possible in some cases, and the worst that can happen is that the card still won't work.

But he wants to know if it IS fixable. From what I have read on these forums and others, it is possible to flash back to an old BIOS and still have a fully functioning card.
